We are seeking qualified interpreters for the Nigerian Interpreter Job in Cardiff. If you are fluent in Nigerian and English, this freelance opportunity allows you to provide essential interpretation services in healthcare, legal, educational, and community sectors. As a Nigerian interpreter in Cardiff, you will play a key role in facilitating communication for individuals with limited English proficiency, ensuring they can access vital services effectively.
This position offers flexibility, enabling interpreters to manage their schedules and select assignments according to their expertise and availability. Typical assignments include hospital consultations, court hearings, school meetings, and social service appointments. Requirements:
• Fluent in Nigerian and English
• Recognised interpreting qualifications (DPSI, CI, NRPSI, or equivalent)
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Up-to-date CV and proof of identity
• Two professional references
• Prior experience in healthcare, legal, or educational interpreting preferred
Scope of Work:
• Interpret in healthcare, legal, educational, and community environments
• Deliver accurate, impartial, and culturally sensitive interpretation
• Provide services face-to-face, via video, or by telephone
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Assist clients and professionals in sensitive or complex situations
